Could Bondi withhold the Epstein files because of investigations?

They can’t release material if it’s part of an ongoing investigation.
Trump ordered investigations of Democrats involved with Epstein.
Couldn’t she use those to withhold almost everything?

Yes, Trump is aware of this. That's why he flip-flopped on the issue. Walleye 3 hrs ago #5

Questions should be changed to statements. We know the answer is without a doubt, yes.

More more likely they will scrub the evidence they release to within an inch of its legibility, and will withhold other incriminating evidence. It's Trump, so whatever it is will be extraordinarily duplicitous and obviously stupid, and anyone who isn't a cult member will see right through it. Too bad that the cult members run everything these days.

But also for no reason. They will start with the reasons, but persist if and when reasons run out.

These people are fucking scofflaws. They won't comply with rules and laws just because they are rules and laws. They only respond to force, and given that they are the executive branch, good luck with that.

Then again, the Trump Gang has long been selective in following the no-commenting on open investigations policy.

&quot C) would jeopardize an active federal investigation or ongoing prosecution, provided that such withholding is narrowly tailored and temporary;"
That means that only those parts involving the investigations of democratic persons. Narrowly tailored and temporary. All others must be disclosed in full. I think this is why Massie (R KY) told the Senate "Don't muck it up!"
