I think it's finally dawned on him that he won't be president for much longer - either he knows that even this SCOTUS won't ignore the Constitution and let him run for a third term, or, more likely, he is aware in some corner of his soggy brain that his health is deteriorating and he might not finish this term. He doesn't care about who succeeds him or the future of the GOP if it doesn't include him; at this point he cares only that there are plenty of monuments to him, which seems to be his current project.

If Trump croaks before the next election Vance will have plenty of competition for the GOP nomination. It will be like a bunch of scorpions in a bottle. Stock up on popcorn.

Maybe he figures that's all he needs. But what kind of loser doesn't stand up for his wife?

Something I have noticed about these jerks: They refuse to learn anything that does not fit their views. Maybe they think not knowing everything is some sort of male weakness they can never admit.
