Serious question: How do we prepare the american people to accept a potus with dementia?

I'm not trying to be funny. In all seriousness, every family has their moment when the last holdouts have to admit that Dad's not with us mentally anymore, and needs a facility to handle him.

I'm not suggesting that there is a political move or strategy to execute. I'm seriously asking how do we prepare to remove him?

I'm thinking we'll need a trusted bi-partisan authority figure who can begin saying that it's OK and compassionate to let him drift off to his inevitable mental isolation, and let JD vance (Heaven help us) begin re-building the justice system and undo the DHS ICE and economic turmoil. The capital is full of veterans who can help him restore the government. In the long-run, the GOP could redeem itself by saving the country. I doubt the entire GOP is happy with the chaos and upheaval. Business has been treading water, waiting for all the contradictions to stop and restore trust in the future.

We need to rehire all the federal employees and get them back to work running the county. We need to restore the state department and heal the fractures abroad, undo the insane tariffs and put experts back into position of power in health, commerce, industry, economics, security, everything.

Candidates for an effective spokesperson? Bush? Bush alongside retired generals? Bush and Obama? Is Colin Powell dead? Mr. Rogers? Big Bird and Ernie? Seriously, are there any people like Tom Hanks or Harrison Ford or Taylor Swift who would be willing to change from the political wrangling to this "hospice" sort of counselling? It would need to be someone who has not engaged politically before.

The MAGA rot has been with my siblings since 2016. They went from being to peaceful hippies in the 70’s to hateful MAGATs. There is no talking to them. They live in a different universe now.

During the Reagan years. Then the Felon made it more acceptable by the disinformed. Those same disinformed thought Biden had dementia because the disinformation sources were deflecting from the Korrupt Korpulent Koprolite currently desecrating the White House

(with "dementia", according to repugs) beat back Trump's little Johnson trying to raise the debt ceiling in January of this year.

I've always thought H. W. was the President for 12 years. Like Miller and Vought are now.

The economic policies are coming from Vought, Bessent, Lutnick, and Thiel (with Musk on the margins).

Trump is obviously in intermediate dementia, but these are the preferred policies of now run-of-the-mill MAGA conservatives.
