What's insane about the Epstein Files situation.

Trump has been wearing the "ruby slippers' the whole time. He's known he can click them together 3 times and go back to Kansas. He didn't need to go all the way to Oz (Emerald City) to find out.

He can release the files on his "word." And I'm sure he can specify Bondi protect the witnesses in doing so.

Try not to forget the stupidity of all we're being put through by him.

My station is owned by Sinclair so was surprising on morning news to hear their reporter finish her segment about the vote today by saying: "To be clear, he and Bondi could release the files anytime without requiring a vote"

First, understand that Trump never wants any of the files released.

He stonewalled for 9 months after promising the files would be released the first day.

He ordered Johnson to make the House go away for almost 2 months, hoping that would end it.

When the shutdown required the House to come back, Trump knew Johnson would face the discharge petition. He tried to bully the 4 Republicans to pull out of the petition.

When that didn't work, Johnson tried to do it as an unrecorded voice vote.

When that didn't work, and it looked like 100 Republicans might vote against Trump, exposing him as powerless, Trump jumped in front of the parade, telling everybody to vote for the release.

He did so, knowing that it could be held up in the Senate for months.

And if it ever passes the Senate, he can veto it "for the good of the country".

And if that is overridden, they have probably already destroyed the worst of the evidence.
