Which implies the greedy ones are victims of an illness beyond their control. It IS massive, unrelenting greed, but it’s decided on, sculpted with laws, enacted, and profited wildly from.

Like all things -- as in things -- money is just a tool to use for bettering one's and others' lives. It empowers the common good when shared. In and of itself it is not power. How money is used is a free will choice.

Greed is one of the 7 Deadly Sins. It and all other sins are seeded by the First Deadly Sin, Pride. They're called Deadly because they lead oneself and others to confusion, chaos and destruction.

Even after 2,000 years millions still haven't learned to use their free wills responsibly.

St. Paul said that "the love of money is the root of all evil" in his first letter to Timothy 6:10 in the New Testament. Love of money is idolatry when one loves money more than humans.

Jesus clearly said in Matthew: "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and mammon."

getting worse. This relentless idea of no matter how rich I am, I need more - more than I or my great grandchildren can ever spend - needs to be named and shamed. As greed grows, empathy and compassion shrink and we need that reversed. Sadly, I doubt that I will see that turn around in my lifetime.

NO way it is going to change, only get progressively worse........We are a hair away from repeating the GILDED AGE the Republican Oligarchs and Corporations adored, along with a new set of ROBBER BARRONS..............

We passed the point of no return in 1980 with HWBush & Reagan and their destruction of the middle class in eight short years. Then "they" greatly accelerated it in 2000 with Cheney/Rumsfeld, and their FAKE Iraq War, and then "they" went to WARP Drive speed in 2016.......

Everyone in the bottom 99%, and especially our kids and grandkids are about to see our lives disappear out from under us all......

Some Frenchman? in the 1700's, as we were forming our Democracy had this to say:
"A Democracy will work until some individuals or groups of individuals figure out that they can vote themselves money"

The Republican top 1%ers and Republican owned/operated Corporations have flagrantly shown us, that they now own the best politicians that money can buy........"CITIZENS UNITED", in 2010 was the last step needed to roll out their full agenda........

They destroy just about everything. My personal thought is, if the greedy were among the primitive tribes' eons ago,
..we wouldn't be here. The selfish bastards would never try to keep the tribes together....just run away.

Were hunter gatherers greedy? You can be greedy for power and not for possessions.
I think possessing anything above what is needed to survive and be healthy and happy, is an opportunity for Greed to grow.

Though they turned it into a primary "christian" virtue: "I win, you lose." Selfishness is their primary platform.
