Remember when they were going to "drain the swamp". But now, after all the deception, we find that the "swamp" is more putrid and slimy than ever in history.
The truth has been kicked to the ground and is struggling for air. The lies glisten like gold.
The latest lie is waiting to see which MAGA accomplice will carry it forward. Of course, Trump wanted the Epstein files released all along. Everybody knows that. In his brilliance, he is finally going to find all those creatures in the swamp and expose them to all his faithful.
But like slimy moss on a rock, they find it hard to walk. They keep slipping and sliding. They struggle to keep from falling.
In order to believe the Swamp Monster, they must forget everything they knew before yesterday.
It reminds us of the lyrics from Aqualung:
Sitting on a park bench
eyeing little girls with bad intent.
Snot running down his nose
greasy fingers smearing shabby clothes.
Drying in the cold sun
Watching as the frilly panties run.
Feeling like a dead duck
spitting out pieces of his broken luck.
Sun streaking cold
an old man wandering lonely.
Taking time
the only way he knows.
Leg hurting bad,
as he bends to pick a dog-end
he goes down to the bog
and warms his feet.

(13,995 posts)Embarrassment of a GOP jail break of maybe 100 house members. The DOJ has, at his direction, appointed a special council to investigate Democrats in the files
so Bondi will have a reason to say she cannot release the files because of an ongoing investigation.
See how that works? The GOP is not peeling away from Rump
he is totally in favor of transparency.
Just another abuse of power and abject bullshit being shoveled by his minions.
So far
only one person, the former Governor of Delaware has called for resignation. WTAF?

(2,139 posts)any defeat at any level. This is a man who routinely cheats at golf and has cheated people in deals his whole. He cheated Merv Griffin as well. He knows there's a strong possibility that this will pass both House and Senate. That would be an astounding defeat for him. This is his cover.
