Other defense attorneys have some/many. The Epstein Estate has some/many. Some number of DOJ lawyers who worked on that project (if true) would come forward and report that.

That kind of coverup would be literally impossible imo, and risk even worse backlash when it’s exposed.

It’s all been in the government and legal spheres for years (Biden and Trump admins). So many eyes. So many hands.

And the news media will just report the sanitized information and won’t report the scrubbing. There aren’t very many news departments with journalistic integrity. In fact, I can count the number of them on the fingers on my left foot. 0. There also aren’t too many good journalists that would report it either. Wait until Democrats control the House January, 2027. New subpoenas to the Epstein Estate. Compare and declare the contradictions.

That would still identify people with some real guilt. However, what if they add stuff (on Democrats) that was never there or substitute a Democratic name for Trump's in places where not having a name of a perpetrator would be suspicious.

This would create pain, but I would hope that others who worked with the documents in the past would speak out.

They have had 10 months to destroy the evidence. That was done long ago, but let's hope people stashed some copies that will be leaked once the FBI releases what it claims to be complete files.

The reason for Trump's about-face is that he knows a bunch of Republicans were going to vote against him. He is trying to make it look like it was his idea.

DOJ will say it's not possible to release them now that there are "active" investigations.

And this time, I don't think the cover-up will be worse than the crime.
