Usually I can find savings in the 50% off section, but not today. tRump is screwing everything up.

(24,861 posts)Canned vegetables are now 2$, orange juice was 5.29 for the top 3 brands here, and the broccoli was 3.99 and wilted. The store brands arent much over in price, these days.

(94,953 posts)I look for their sales and stock up. I am on a budget and buy when the sales are good.
This week they have a great sale on Cambells soup, Green Giant veggies and Hines sauce and Near East rice and pilaf for $1. Those are great prices! I plan to buy them for the food pantry.
Yes, food is expensive, I buy what is on sale and that includes fresh veggies for me.

Its so easy to make. Forget buying canned.

(4,666 posts)are practically minting gold. And if you make your own hummus you can even make it low fat or add different spices. My favorite is garlic, black pepper, and sage.
