I was listening to the talking heads on MSNBC

this afternoon and evening about the call by Crumb The 1st to "$25,000" Bondi to initiate all kinds of criminal investigations about only certain people in the Epstein files. None of the talking heads I heard mentioned the obvious ploy here. If Bondi does open these "investigations" it will give them cover to not release the Epstein files because they will claim it's all material to an "ongoing criminal investigation" and therefore it would be improper to release them.

Lawrence is the one most likely to bring it up.
But it was a fail on the part of every show that didn't. People called that maneuver on DU the minute the orange sh-tstain announced it.

...and later I think Michelle Goldberg on another show.

What will be interesting to see is if this can forestall the vote entirely, getting everyone on record, or if this can only be used as a reason to decline the release of files, after the vote sends the request forward. I haven't heard anything on that yet.

but think major damage has been done. Lots of people don’t care about what they know/knew now or previously, and likely won’t care, even if there are photos.
