MTG and Trump have officially broken up.

This is substantial. It will also be deliciously fun to watch it play out on social media.

Right now, she smells trouble ahead for him and is smart enough to distance herself because she still has higher aspirations than Congress. But if the winds change and she needs him she will flip back to him like a gymnast.

She hasn't suddenly become a compassionate or decent person - she's looking out only for herself. I agree - hope Trump broke her black little heart.

Trump is a lame duck. He's out after 28. Someone is going to succeed him and let's be honest, he's not going to be a major influence. He can lamely post tweets and such, but he will no longer be president, and with the way his health is going, he may not be around for too much longer. The Trump era is going to end and smart people are recognizing that.

Not that MTG is brilliant, but I think she may be not an idiot enough to recognize that her former persona of being a Trump acolyte and positioning herself as the biggest idiot in congress isn't going to work once he's gone. Also, he's kind of self destructing now that the economy is trash, people can't afford food, there's the Epstein files... the list goes on.

So she's making strategic moves. Coming out against Epstein. Now the bill she's sponsoring against H-1B visas, which lots of Americans hate because there is so much fraud within that program and companies, especially within the tech industry, are using it to hire cheap Indian workers when there are Americans who can't get hired and are sitting around unemployed. If Trump continues to be crazy and R's go along with it, we win in a landslide. If R's fracture against him and start fixing things that actually need fixing, that could be more problematic.

I bet she wants to be the first female president. Amanda Marcotte has been sounding the alarm about it. Since then I have been wary of any populist turns of hers. She probably can beat Vance in popularity, since Vance is..well..Vance..

...that depend on the MAGA base to win their elections.

Because if Marjorie leaves, or is kicked out, she will not be the only one. A lot of MAGA agree with MTG.

*rump didn't write those posts, it's obvious. He's incapable.

I don't find any of this deliciously fun.

Just my two cents.
