Republican-backed bills would require reporting of key details on abortions in Michigan

Michigan bills to resume tracking abortion data are scheduled to receive a hearing Wednesday morning before the Republican-led state House Health Policy Committee.

The legislation would require providers to report data like a patient's age, racial and ethnic background, and pregnancy history. The bills would also require reporting to the state when complications arise.

Genevieve Marnon is legislative director for Right to Life of Michigan. She said the bills are about patient safety.

“I think women have the right to know the risks they are taking before they make a decision, and the abortion reporting is a necessary part of that right,” Marnon said.

On edit: I resent a "Pervert Body Party" that does nothing except inspect everyone's life and making it more miserable.

that penalizes the sperm donor as much as the now pregnant egg carrier.

If the law is going to come down on her for taking a pill, or driving to a doctor in another state, or self harming herself in desperation to end a pregnancy, then make the male pay the same price the pregnant girl/woman has to suffer, including any jail time. If gathering pregnancy history data to harass the female, then embarrass the male with sexual history interview questions.

This country comes down on young pregnant girls as leg spreading sluts, while giving the boy a free ride for scoring some.......... Have the women of the House and Senate submit such an idea as charging the male equally as the the female, and let's see how those white male cracker robber Barrons running our government react to some equality.

Call it the Equalizer Amendment. If not, then some Keebler Elf-looking MF'er who jerks off with his son to Porn Hub will be making the rulers for you.
