https://thehill.com/business/5603478-trump-organization-foreign-workers-2025/The Trump Organization requested 184 foreign workers to work across various company properties, a record number that has increased over the years.
The company sought to hire workers through H-2A and H-2B visas for temporary positions at Mar-a-Lago, two golf clubs and at Trump Vineyard Estates in Charlottesville, Va., according to data from the Department of Labor.
Over the course of Trumps first term and the first nine months of his second term, the Trump Organizations visa requests increased from 121 in 2021 to 184 in 2025, according to Forbes. Overall, the company has filed to hire 566 foreign laborers to work as servers, farm workers, kitchen staff, clerks and housekeepers, primarily.
For the H-2A and H-2B visa programs, businesses need the Department of Labors approval before petitioning the Department of Homeland Security. After that, the Department of State issues the visas.
The Hill has reached out to the Trump Organization and the White House for comment.

(7,856 posts)If US workers 'aren't smart enough' then it is the fault of those who establish educational policies and opportunity in the US. Deliberate under educating people has been a GOP tool for years.
But even bigger than insisting Americans just don't have talent is Big Business interest in having employees they can control more than US citizen workers. Foreign workers are here at the employers' pleasure. They have to take more abuse, more unfair wages and conditions or they get sent away. IOW, many US industries want indentured servants, not workers with rights.

Anyone remember when he first took office during his first term, and the FBI raided one of his resort golf courses, re: undocumented workers????
Fascinating......the FBI found boxes of blank, numbered, social security cards and a miniature printing press in the HR office?????????
Interesting that we never heard anything more.....about that raid or any raid at any of his other resort/golf courses/Hotels......
There are entire industries that depend on the un-documented, and most are almost criminal in how they treat them, with no fear of recourse.
Agriculture industries, Construction industries, Hospitality industries, Meat packing industries, Manufacturing industries, Assembly industries.
Raiding elementary schools, and small businesses, esp in BLUE states is ludicrous, but much better politically than raiding large Corporations.
The Corporations are what the Republicans depend on, and are truly behind especially what we have seen these past 9 years.
Frankly, I am waiting for the United States of America, to be re-named The Corporate States of America, or The Fascist Corporate States of America
(Fascism in its simplest form is the merging of Government and Corporations)
