I'm as frustrated as anybody, but this, as always, well informed and considered take by

when you come right down to it, those Democrats handed Trump and Republicans not only a win, but a guarantee that they can ram pretty much anything through with only token resistance.

So, they now know for a fact that they can do literally anything and Democrats will find an excuse to help and thus, make it all "bipartisan".
