It's a good day to remember NO Trump has ever served this country

Friedrich Trump, Donald Trump's grandfather, was classified as a draft dodger after he emigrated from Germany to avoid mandatory military service.

It seems to me that he was basically a good-natured fellow. Sadly, he had an alcohol addiction which cut his life short. He was content being a pilot for a commuter airline, but his drinking put an end to that career. Members of his family chided him for his lack of interest in a career in business or in some other higher-profile calling. He ended up living on a family property where he performed maintenance duties.

my father served in the Navy as a Seabee, island hopping in the Pacific theater, had 2 uncles who served in the Army and Marines during WWII.
I served 2 tours in Vietnam and saw combat in Desert Storm as a Combat Engineer, while Been A Dick Donald claims his trying to avoid STD's was his Vietnam.

This man and his immediate family are a disgrace to the country and the world.

he was one of the original SeaBees, he was wounded on Saipan in '44, he was with the 121st Naval Construction Btn. attached to the 4th Marine Div.

What a coincidence that would be if they knew each other.
Sadly, he's no longer with us, he was my hero, something Been A Dick Donald will never know about.

during the Iraqi retreat from Kuwait during Desert Storm,
this is what I was operating:

He was on a berm providing overwatch security for us, we never actually met in person, but he recognized the ACE I was in as we headed for the mine belt.
Basically a dozer on steroids.

I may have a picture of you- at least in the ACE. I snapped a shot of one approaching the first belt.

I was about 100m to starboard laying on a berm with my 16, right behind me was a open back hummer with a Mk 40 mounted on a homemade contraption like the Rat Patrol. We had the seabees reinforce the cargo deck and build pintles so we could mount heavy weapons to our vehicles.

Thank you and everyone here for their service, whether or not they saw the elephant.

Great pictures.
Thanks.

I was supposed to go back to Vietnam, this time as a non combatant in Oct., but thanks to Been A Dick Donald and his fucked up tariffs and whatnot, I decided to postpone it until things get better here at home, hopefully I can go sometime next year.

I'm going to dig up some of my pictures I took during my "tours" in Vietnam, back when i was much, much younger and filled with much more piss and vinegar and post them here after I get back home in a few weeks.
