Saw Nuremberg Today

In the movie the psychiatrist asks Hermann Göring why so many people followed Hitler. I'm paraphrasing but he said because he promised a return to past glory and had a convenient scapegoat for why it was lost. Sounds awful familiar.

I recognize that this is a different focus on the issues and events. Still, I am trying to get everyone I know to talk to someone under the age of 30 (and others) to go see it--whether it be their children, their friends, their neighbors.. Americans desperately need that reminder of history (whether or not they learned it to begin with) and hopefully to see the frightening similarities today.

They all obliquely refer to our times. They can't come right out and say MAGA is evocative of the NAZIS.

It will be hard to top the 2000 TNT Nuremberg with Alex Baldwin as Robert Jackson and Brian Cox as Herman Goring.

He certainly didn't want to go down in history as a monster.

Alec Baldwin and Brian Cox are fine actors but Michael Shannon and Russell Crowe are great as Robert Jackson and Hermann Göring. In the movie Crowe's Göring speaks German and English.
