Trump says US is in 'armed conflict' with drug cartels after ordering strikes in the Caribbean

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump has declared drug cartels to be unlawful combatants and says the United States is now in an "armed conflict” with them, according to a Donald Trump administration memo obtained by The Associated Press on Thursday, following recent U.S. strikes on boats in the Caribbean.

The memo appears to represent an extraordinary assertion of presidential war powers, with Trump effectively declaring that trafficking of drugs into the United States amounts to armed conflict requiring the use of military force — a new rationale for past and future actions.

“The President determined that the United States is in a non-international armed conflict with these designated terrorist organizations,” the memo says. Trump directed the Pentagon to “conduct operations against them pursuant to the law of armed conflict.”

“The United States has now reached a critical point where we must use force in self-defense and defense of others against the ongoing attacks by these designated terrorist organizations,” the memo says.

They're blasting the shit out of boats based on suspicion not evidence. It used to be these boats were boarded and searched by the Coast Guard. If drugs were found, then the crew was detained.

In her recitation she states that f45 spoke coherently to her and acknowledged that his slander about her was just political and not intentional. (paraphrasing) I've always thought f45 was a crazy nut, but this behind-the-scenes conversation provides an insight that f45 is not a nut, he just plays the role of the nut in public.

If we ever elections again, and win, the Democrats must have a presidential commission and prosecute all these criminals. And if someone like Gym Jordan won't show up, immediately arrest t6hem and send them to an overseas concentration camp. No more letting nuclear secrets be stolen with zero consequences.

And "advisors" to the South Vietnamese military and bombing Cambodia and "falling dominoes" and My Lai.

It used to be that Congress had to declare wars which made it more difficult to send the cannon fodder on it's way.
