This shows how out of touch Morning Joe and MSNBC are.

So I was watching that show this morning and they were blathering on about how Democrats were going to get blamed for the shutdown and how they have no plan.

To be fair one person mentioned an ABC poll favorable to the Democrats. However they still kept piling on.

The media are so out of touch. They ought to be hammering the GOP for failing to obtain the necessary votes to open the government. Instead they blame the Democrats for poor messaging. Idiots.

Well, here we go.

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/rcna235141

WASHINGTON — The U.S. government is shut down, and Americans are more inclined to blame President Donald Trump and Republicans for it, according to four independent, national polls conducted just before or during the funding lapse.

But there is fluidity in the political fight, as the surveys show a significant share of voters aren't sure who to blame. The shutdown is only in its second day, as Republicans and Democrats sharpen their messages, and it's not clear how long the impasse will last.

The (R) party has the majority in both houses of congress and the white house. That means they are literally the ones to blame.

If they all voted as one, even if dems voted against it as a unified block of votes, everything that they would want would pass.

So, how can the minority party be to blame.

I know -- billionaire owners of the means of production and media blame dems for everything -- all the time.

They’re doing what they’re paid to do. I don’t know why anyone would expect them to tell the truth as it applies to well, anything.

MSNBC isn’t on the side of anything except making money.

That’s a 17 point spread between people with strong opinions about who’s responsible for the shut down. Even if only 10% of the undecideds end up joining us in blaming the R’s, that will be 57%, a clear majority. They really think the entire 23% will swing authoritarian? It’s bullshit upon bullshit because most of these clowns only know how to report on horse races that they help stage.
