Krasnov Threatens To Move 2026 World Cup Soccer Out Of Chicago

"Very soon we’re going into Chicago. It will be safe for the World Cup. If I think it isn’t safe, we’ll move into a different city, absolutely. It’s actually a very fair question."

No world cup soccer matches are scheduled for Chicago.

The VP of FIFA made a response to Krasnov's threats stating that FIFA is in charge and football will survive world leaders and their slogans and their regimes. That one is going to sting Krasnov.

The 2026 Soccer World Cup is scheduled to be held in Canada, Mexico, and the US.

Krasnov needs an intervention, I think he is confusing Chicago with Los Angeles, Los Angeles is hosting 8 matches at SoFi stadium, none in Chicago.

Can’t wait for the billionaires get their bill, which’ll be righteous justice after 40 years of trickle-down larceny.

It's not safe to host an event like that in a fascist country that's on the verge of a civil war.

https://sports.yahoo.com/article/fifa-shut-down-trumps-threat-192650992.html

While the U.S. is slated to host a majority of the 2026 World Cup alongside Canada and Mexico, Donald Trump is not in charge of the tournament. FIFA reiterated that to the U.S. president.

Last week, Trump had threatened to move World Cup matches out of U.S. cities that he deemed "dangerous" despite the fact that host cities have already been named in a tournament that FIFA is organizing — not the U.S. government.

Trump specifically singled out Chicago even though it isn't a host city in the World Cup, saying via The Athletic:

When discussing those remarks FIFA vice president Victor Montagliani put an end to the notion that Trump could dictate where matches are held. He said on Wednesday:
