How high will ACA premiums go if the subsidies expire.

To get an idea of how much net ACA premiums will skyrocket for millions of Americans if Republicans & Trump refuse to keep the improved tax credits in place, pick a state from the drop-down menu:

I'm barely getting by as it is. Really, I'm not getting by; I'm putting off catastrophe. I am absolutely sure I'm not the only one.

11. No, you're far from alone. CBO estimates 2.2 million will be priced out.

And that is in the first year alone. The number increases over time.

AI summary

If enhanced Affordable Care Act (ACA) premium subsidies expire at the end of 2025, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimates that approximately 2.2 million people will lose their health insurance in 2026, a number that would grow to an average of 3.8 million people per year from 2026-2034 if the expiration is not addressed. This loss of coverage is due to rising costs making marketplace health insurance unaffordable for many people.

that nobody wants to talk about or deal with.

Even for people like myself who have excellent insurance, I can't afford to retire because I couldn't afford decent healthcare without the help of my employer
