Trump and the Republicans are gaslighting the American people and the press.

Speaker MAGA Mike was on with Jake Tapper and he was going on and on about how Joe Biden and the Democrats "weaponized" the DOJ against Trump. Jake was mostly silent. He never challenged those remarks at all, as I recall?

He could have asked, "When they impeached Trump for inciting an insurrection, were they "weaponizing" the DOJ then?"

It is a major gaslight. People know that Merrick Garland refused to get involved in prosecuting Trump for anything, and took a lot of criticism for it. Many Americans thought Donald Trump should have been imprisoned for his incitement to try and steal an election. Maybe Garland was wrong? Maybe he should have been prosecuted?

But to accuse the Democrats of "weaponizing" the DOJ is just a little much. That was the problem. They did not want to use the DOJ as a weapon. So they did nothing.

Now, we are where we are, and most folks, in my opinion, know that our country is not headed to a good place, with the gaslighters in charge. The propaganda is unique. Now they are using AI in their ads, as were shown on the Adam Mockler podcast. The ad had Trump saying stuff that he did not say. It was all created by AI.

The country needs to understand that we need a change in direction.
