(29,710 posts)You're just plugged in and being used as expendable labor and reproduction, while barely existing.
Sure, the incels like that red pill and blue pill stuff to break you free from control. But, who is really being controlled?

(20,947 posts)Their either too "programmed" , too stupid or both to realize they're actually LIVING what they sneer at. Such morons.

If she were still alive, she'd be leading the parade for Charlie Kirk.

(127,526 posts)women not to do, like her law degree? You admired her for personally speaking against and actively trying to prevent the ERA with her lies? You didn't support her, but you admired her for being open in her contempt and hatred for any women who were not what are now called tradwives? Could you please explain to me what I am missing here, because, frankly, my head is pounding right now.

(53,189 posts)Not forgiving her at all. But she did accomplish in her life what many women at the time couldn't do. such as enroll and graduate from law school when maybe 98% of students were male, and speaking for herself. Even in 1978, many married women didn't even use their own names. They were "Mrs. (husband's first and last name)". I know as I witnessed my mother with a masters degree struggle for her own autonomy.
I'm also no fan of Clare Boothe Luce. But I recognize her accomplishments. Like Schlafly, she was no feminist and didn't try to help other women (and you'd think she had some insight after writing The Women).

Doesnt work that way, sis.

(92,704 posts)So a bigoted convicted rapist that brags about sexually assaulting women and girls and pays women for sex fits into her conservative bible traditional values she wants to raise her kids under ,?
paleotn
(20,947 posts)That's against their "religion."
And of course she does. Like every bible thumping moron, they want to make the world Jebusland. By force if necessary. Donnie is simply a means to that end. So what if he steals and rapes along the way? It's the psychotic end result they care about.

That is actually what a search for "matrix programming" returns, because, thank goodness, the nerds still outnumber the lunatics.

I still support what I believe should be her rights, even if she herself doesn't.

(19,785 posts)Maybe some women, no matter which way they lean politically, just don't like stupid people. The cultists love to believe they're always being persecuted, though, just like their rotund, orange jebus does.
Poor little snowflake.

(16,597 posts)Just because some idiot is ready, willing and able to give up HER rights does not mean any of the rest of us are willing. Most of us fought too hard to have the few, remaining rights we have.
Being a feminist merely means that you believe women are equals to men. Deserving of equal respect and equal responsibility. This person doesn't have to burn her bra, or have a career, or be on top during sex if she chooses not to.
But she DOES need to allow other women their own choices and stop mocking anyone who might disagree with her. If she wants to be the submissive little idiot, that's her choice and she's entitled to that choice. But she can live with the responsibility of that choice, too.
And when she's popped out ten kids and hubby decides he wants a younger model and leaves her to support those kids without much education, work experience, etc., then she needs to deal with that.
I don't think anyone wants to argue with me that it doesn't happen that way either, because I've seen it happen too many times.

(4,987 posts)Whereas the Trump administration is moving now to criminalise progressive values and organisations, to assert that the US is a Christian nation and not a pluralistic society as the 1st Amendment clearly intended, remove access to vaccinations from people who chose to take them, criminalise abortion, make it harder for women who chose to work, silence voices in the media that promote anything other than fascist values and strip museums, libraries and schools of any opinions besides the ones they sanction.
So yeah, it's a disingenuous as well as a stupid argument because she knows perfectly well that when her guys are in power they couldn't give less of a shit about making room for anyone's opinions besides their own - and they exercise state power to shut down opposing views.

(8,300 posts)Sadly that usually means Old Testament Bible, which is not a Christian book.
Jesus' teachings are New Testament only, and so most right wing Christians don't follow the teachings of Jesus.
If Jesus was alive today, he'd be labeled a liberal, and be condemned for his teachings, just like he was over 2000 years ago.
