America has become too dangerous for British singer, Adele, to perform at the Superbowl next year.

The Easy on Me hitmaker has seemingly made the decision in the light of recent events to prioritise her safety, as an insider told RadarOnline, “She is petrified after what happened to Kirk and is living like a hermit in Los Angeles, convinced stadium-scale performances put her life in danger.”

The sports event will take place on 8 February, 2026 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, and the Set Fire to the Rain singer’s hiatus will not have ended by then.

This is not the first time Adele has refused an offer from the NFL, but she made the same decision back in 2026, when she said the show was “not about music.”

2. Adele is ill-informed. THe Super Bowl is a maximum security event--like RNC and DNC and thus

The security is planned more than a year ahead of time. If there is any place that would be safe for her to perform in front of a large crowd, that is it. That said, I don't disagree that the US is, on average, a very unsafe country. But, while I'd have qualms about a lot of public events, the Super Bowl is not one of them.

Too bad, though. I'd like to see Adele perform.

4. Agreed, she would be amazing, but I can't blame her if she feels unsafe, no matter how good the security.

7. She has a history of canceling tours and shows.

My guess is that she doesn't want to commit to the Super Bowl and this is a plausible excuse, maybe she hopes it will do some good.

9. She had severe stage fright. She has learned to manage it but my guess is that this is a step too far for her.

5. We have a climate of fear in this country right now.

And Adele has succumbed to that climate. But I think she is overreacting. I think the odds are that she would be perfectly safe. She would probably statistically be in more danger from a traffic accident on the way to a venue. But I understand her fear. The climate we are in now does that to people.
