But shouldn't they have at least TRIED to expand the court under Biden? They did the usual thing of, "let's establish a commission and write a report" BS......which of course recommended against it.

...because they would have abolished the filibuster if they won.

PS - his vote would have been one if those needed for us to actually abolish the filibuster in 2020 or 2022.

who would NEVER vote to expand the court, so in reality it wasn't possible. I know it's frustrating, but Manchin & Sinema for 2 were never going to allow it and there was nothing Democrats could do to change that.

When they get the majority again, I'm guessing they will try. There may still be some Democratic Senators who were opposed, but I think most of them have probably changed their mind by now.

You're saying, in reality it wasn't possible to try?

Obviously it wouldn't pass. I just said they should've tried.

Only vote for Dems who:
1) support expanding the court to at least 13 seats, and
2) killing the filibuster to accomplish #1

This isn’t an easy thing or likely. The system is broken. Our government no longer supports the ideas of the constitution. I wish a large majority could come together to upend the entire system.

Looks like they have their shit together. (by that i mean shit, is the people they are putting in charge) There is only one way out, if they cheat in 2026. I'll end it here.

Its original purpose has already been perverted by MAGA fascism so I am wholeheartedly fine with essentially making it a political election (indirectly) like the rest of the federal government.

which includes expanding SCOTUS, and a POTUS willing to sign it. And as far as that legislation goes, it basically means 50+ Senators willing to nuke the legislative filibuster.

We need Democrats who are hardasses willing to fight fire with fire.

Otherwise we can just roll over and die under the boot of the billionaires and their (hired and un-hired) goons.
