Some of us will not survive the Trump regime.
And some can no longer stomach what they see happening.
They are smart to leave.

Others cannot leave or want to stay and try to change things.

Everyone has to find their own way in life.

I was born here, raised here, served my country for 35 years, I will die here and I won't let any MAGAt puke run me off of my country.

I may be old, but I still have a lot of fight left in me if that's what it comes down to plus, being a combat engineer, I still have some tricks up my sleeve that will make it very, very hazardous for anyone thinking about harming me, my family, my friends.

My position as well. It rubs me wrong hearing the Josh Hawley approach, but if you have the ability, I no longer faught them for doing so.
I did not serve to run either. Everything, which ain’t a lot but it is mine, is right here and paid for. I will find like minded vets like you, and I am willing to bleed out right here on my dirt. I am willing to bet many countries will not be all that willing to take our refugees. We would strain their economies and health care too. We are all seen as spoiled arrogant pricks like those in charge right now.
Anyway, I would stand with you, have your 6 and fight with the life skills I have gained. Not gonna just give it away and run. If this country goes down the world may follow.

every day loyal Americans who believe in the founding principles of this country and are willing to lay down our lives for our freedoms.
The RWNJ's make the mistake of thinking that just because we're Democrats, we're nothing more than cannon fodder to them, that's their fatal mistake, they're arrogant in their belief that we'll just accept the loss of our freedoms and march off to their concentration camps willingly, personally, I think they're in for a very rude surprise if it comes down to a shooting war, which I pray that it won't come down.

Just one small correction, I was never a soldier, I was a Marine, although we did cross training with the Army's combat engineers and the Navy SeaBees.

The worst form of government, except for all those other forms that have been tried from time to time.

My wife's family had to flee Persia (present day Iran) after the elected government got the boot. My grandparents left Mexico when the CIA decided to "make life a little tough" on the socialists there.

And of course my great grand parents fled Imperial Russia under the last Tsar.

Before the war in Ukraine, a recruiter looked up my Linkedin profile from Russia (obviously not going there). I can probably go to the Mexican Consulate and ask for a favor (probably won't make much however). We both have family in Australia and could easily get sponsorship to live there. I also know people in China. And I might be able to swing a job in Europe somewhere if the job situation here doesn't improve.

I know Russian and can probably pick up Spanish again fairly quickly and easily. I know a few phrases in Arabic, but I wouldn't go that route (had a lot of Arab's in class back in college and some wanted me to come to thier country and work for them).

Knowing when to quit a country is probably the hardest decision. Nor is it easy to start over, but we both lost relatives a couple of generations ago because they thought things would change back.

He served with the First Armored Division from November, 1942 when they went ashore at Oran, Algeria. He was a month away from his 19th birthday. Later, he was wounded at Anzio, Italy. What kind of daughter would I be if I didn't stay and fight?

Voting for Democrats is the LEAST I can do.
