Trump demands drugmakers 'justify their success' with COVID vaccines

President Donald Trump called on drug companies to "justify their success" in combatting the COVID-19 virus, demanding the immediate release of data on the matter while the CDC is "being ripped apart over this question."

Trump's remarks in a Sept. 1 post on Truth Social follow his firing last week of CDC director Susan Monarez just one month into her tenure after a disagreement she had over vaccine policy with Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a longtime vaccine skeptic. Jim O'Neill, a top deputy of Kennedy, was later named acting CDC director.

"Many people think they are a miracle that saved Millions of lives. Others disagree!" Trump said of COVID drugs including vaccines made by Pfizer, Moderna and other drug companies. "With CDC being ripped apart over this question, I want the answer, and I want it NOW."

The Food and Drug Administration on Aug. 27 set tighter guidelines on who can receive the latest COVID vaccination shots, recommending the vaccines to only people over 65 or individuals with existing health problems.

with the latest formulation and then get covid, which is still going around and is still killing people, and we'll watch to see whether they survive? It's a rather small sample for a study, but I'll take it.

Has he forgotten that? Does RFK Jr have that much influence over him or he lashing out because Jr is such a disaster it makes him think people will think he made a mistake? Perish the thought.

Look we all watched his IT’S NOT MY FAULT “leadership” during the 5 o’clock Charlie briefings but these clearly worked.

Loomer is making personnel decisions
The DC occupation was just after a flurry of X influencers trying to rewrite BIG BALLS 🙄 getting jumped at 3 AM

It’s a two way street too. I’d have to think back but he and his WH minions have done it said some things clearly FOR his X mouthpieces.

They seem to have more influence on him than his actual staff or 3rd string JV cabinet. That’s scary.

...were partly a result of his silly "Operation Warp Speed" program (though several pharma companies didn't take the Federal funding, as it came with the usual red tape and legal conditions). Trump engaged in quite a lot of self-promotion over the vaccine program, and his followers were not happy about it. Here's an event where Trump had a lot of trouble "reading the room", as the kids say, and the MAGA chuds booed him for recommending they get vaccinated.
