RFK, Jr., Demanded a Vaccine Study Be Retracted--The Journal Said No

https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/rfk-jr-demanded-study-on-vaccines-and-aluminum-be-retracted-the-journal-said/

US health secretary and vaccine sceptic Robert F. Kennedy Jr has called for the retraction of a Danish study that found no link between aluminium in vaccines and chronic diseases in children — a rare move for a US public official. Aluminium has been used for almost a century to enhance the immune system’s response to some vaccines. But some people claim the ingredient is linked to rising rates of childhood disorders such as autism.

Public-health officials in Kennedy’s position rarely request that studies be retracted, says Ivan Oransky, a specialist in academic publishing and co-founder of the media organization Retraction Watch. Through this request, “Secretary Kennedy has demonstrated that he wants the scientific literature to bend to his will”, says Oransky.

The study in question, published in Annals of Internal Medicine in July, is one of the largest of its kind, looking at 1.2 million children born over more than two decades in Denmark. The authors reported that no significant risk of developing autoimmune, allergic or neurodevelopmental disorders was associated with exposure to aluminium compounds in vaccines.

In an opinion piece published on TrialSite News on 1 August, Kennedy called into question the study’s methodology, analysis and results. Since his appointment as head of the US Department of Health and Human Services, Kennedy has bypassed normal scientific review processes to change vaccine recommendations and terminated grants for projects on mRNA vaccines.

The publication has told Kennedy to fuck off.

People have dedicated their lives to studying this, and he wants to come in with shallow conspiracy theories and change everything around to the detriment of the health of the American people. We knew this would happen thank you Senator Cassidy.

When you have a prune faced old drunkle with a brain worm, yelling at the world to look at how important he is now.
I guess he showed those young Kennedy cousins that he didn’t need an intervention after all… just the backing of a fascist, racist, sexual pervert who prides himself for “Getting a Kennedy”… Daddy and Uncle Jack must be so proud.

Not the same!
They are naturally found in many foods from the soil and help with absorption of nutrients, but their component is in vaccines is minimal and eliminated through the body naturally--no damage.

Given up on mercury in vaccines being the cause of autism and has moved on to aluminum. His idea of science is to throw a dart at the board and see what hits.

Presumably Kennedy will release his statement within the next few weeks on the causes of autism. This after exhaustive research and analyses, LOL.

If his theory includes aluminum we'll know what this hissy-fit is all about beyond anyone with actual scientific/medical credentials making statements about his pet area of focus.

RFK, Jr. is a crank, no better than a snake oil salesman.

Because he has the power to eliminate important research and either curtail or make it very hard to get proven vaccines.

RFK, Jr is going to be responsible for a lot of unnecessary death in this country.

They're talking about eliminating childhood vaccinations, for instance, whooping cough, diphtheria, polio, measles, mumps, etc., infections that killed thousands upon thousands of children and caused immense suffering. It's bad enough for adults who won't be able to get current vaccinations, especially the immunocompromised but these ideologues are willing to set the future on fire because of crank beliefs and conspiracy theories. In addition, they're stopping all research on the mRNA vaccines, the breakthrough research that offers real progress and hope in combatting the nastiest of cancers: glioblastomas, pancreatic, liver, etc.

Through ignorance, willful blindness or whatever, this movement has turned into a Death Cult. Bobby Kennedy, Jr. has the prospect of becoming the Pied Piper of Darkness.

Nothing in his resume shows he has any authority to speak of statistical methodology. He has neither medical, statistical or mathematical training.

If this is a peer reviewed study, others have looked at the study methodology and analysis before it was published.

Does RFK Jr have any real experts left in his department? If so, will they have the courage to dispute his statement.

Using Google, I found this fascinating article that explains the data and methodology used by the study. I don't know anything about the source, but the article makes a lot of sense. https://vaccinateyourfamily.org/explaining-the-danish-study-on-aluminum-in-vaccines/

He doesn't specify exactly what is wrong with the methodology, analysis and results, all of which are peer-reviewed.

His own study's results -- oh, that's right, he didn't cite one. All a conspiracy theorist needs is, "common sense says," "I know of one case" (without specifying the source). and the ever popular "everybody knows."

Thank you, Repukes, for forcing this piece of shit on us. Every death that could have been prevented with vaccines is on you now.

They are the same kinds of things I would ask about: Exclusion of unvaccinated children from the study - if you are studying whether an ingredient in vaccines causes autism, why exclude what seems to be an obvious control group? Exclusion of children who died under age 2. Dismissal of a sub-group which appeared to show a dose-related increase of 67% in those born from 2007-2018.

These are valid questions - which a paper linked to above answers.

Being peer-reviewed does not mean perfect. And you don't have to have a competing study to question the methodology of another study.

Not that I want this particular piece of shit in control of the health of this country - but let's live in (and challenge) reality, not further clutter the world with alternate facts.
