Sen. Josh Hawley wants to exclude Biden voters from $600 Trump tariff rebate checks (The Independent)Well, you wouldnt give it to everybody, youd give it to the working people, the Missouri Republican told far-right podcaster and former Trump adviser Steve Bannon on Tuesday. Youd give it to our people.
I mean, you know, the rich people dont need it what I mean by that is all those Democrat donors of Wall Street, all these hedge fund guys, who all hate the tariffs, by the way.

(60,756 posts)His stupid bill will never past, and even if it did, how would who vote for Biden be found out and denied a check?
Stupid rethugs somehow still get elected.

(2,127 posts)Come on Mr Hawley. I thought your proposal was serious until you say something like this. How exactly do you determine who voted for who?
Never believe anything he says. He also said he would not vote for a bill that cut Medicaid. He lies like all republicans.

I also wonder if Yale Law School skipped the Equal Protection Clause?

(24,402 posts)The rich people don't need tax cuts and tax loopholes, either, but Josh and the Republicans will make giving them more a priority.
They just gave trillions in tax breaks to the wealthiest and the corporations while slashing safety nets for working folks, and this asshat is trying to convince us that they are against the Wall Street donors and for working people.
Tell me, Josh. What is the benefit to working people of doing away with OSHA regs, of busting unions, of closing hospitals and nursing homes, of gutting Medicaid, of defunding public schools?

I guess if you frame it as just taxing rich liberals to help poor conservatives only then it's fine.

You know the same thing the last round of covid stimulus did under the Biden administration and many tax breaks which have limits on the income of the person claiming it. Hawley is a clown, but this seems to be intentionally reading into what people want to believe. Dunk on him for his stupidity of voting for Medicaid cuts and then trying for a bill to reverse them and that blatant hypocrisy. Dunk on him for changing his tune on January 6th, on thinking the sexual revolution led to sex trafficking, his desire to impose his religious beliefs on the rest of us.

He's just the same asshole he's always been. Everything is just a lie again and we're now back to normal.

Yes, of course I can use it, but he acts like he didn't just add trillions of dollars to the deficit. And Hawley proves again that he is a complete imbecile.
