Drudge Mocks Trump’s ‘Chrome Dome’ With Embarrassing Photo of Thinning Hair

Right-leaning news aggregator The Drudge Report mocked President Donald Trump on Monday, referring to the president’s hairline as a “chrome dome.”

The site posted a link to an Irish Star article under an Associated Press photo of Trump’s head. The text to the link reads: “PHOTO CAPTURES DON’S CHROME DOME…”

The image, taken by the AP’s Julia Demaree Nikhinson, was captured when the president visited the Federal Reserve construction project last week. The photo shows a chin-up photo of Trump, with his hairline directly in view.

The article linked discusses Trump’s “deeply receding” hairline, mentioning prior public speculation that the president wears a toupee.

“While the new images don’t prove that the president wears a toupee, they make it clear that his hairline is a least receding,” writes Anthony Orrico in the piece.

The site’s conservative founder, Matt Drudge, once a supporter of the president, has turned away from him in recent years and has since become one of his fiercest critics in the media, running often comical and scathing headlines at his expense.

Drudge has mocked Trump with his links and images before, even posting an AI-generated image of the president in a taco-themed suit and crown under the headline “TACO!” in May. During Trump’s many trials and legal troubles before the 2024 election, Drudge regularly showed images of Trump in an orange jumpsuit.
