In April, Donald Trump said he had made 200 tariff deals. Now he says you canâ€™t make 200 deals. So which is it? Oh, and by the way, there arenâ€™t even 200 countries in the world.

Bessent said Trump had negotiated 200 trade deals. When called out for that because there aren’t 200 countries to make deals with, Bessent glibly replied that some of those were sub deals.

They lie so easily. The bullshit just rolls off their tongues like honey.

But if it is arbitrarily imposed, it isn't a deal.

Mostly because they have not agreed to an amount that they are charging us. Which is presumably a big part of equation if we want our products selling overseas

the other countries. He's been hollering how "We're taking in billions of dollars!" At some point somebody has to ask Bessent whether we'll see a "net" total of incoming vs. outgoing.
