GOP stops short of backing Gabbard, Trump on arresting Obama officials

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbards document releases about the Obama administrations review of the 2016 election are leading President Trump to call for prosecution of former officials, including his predecessor.
But many Republicans in Congress arent ready to go quite that far.
While Trumps GOP supporters in Congress have united in expressing outrage, they have varying ideas of what accountability looks like.
And Democrats say the Trump administration is completely misrepresenting the facts while abusing intelligence and the justice system. They also see it as a bid to distract from growing pressure on the White House to release more information about Jeffrey Epstein.

(40,029 posts)I truly believe that. Touch Obama & you'll see the "left" rise up in a way never reckoned. The repubs who haven't lost all touch with reason, sense that.

(10,953 posts)Trump either does it, and blows up his entire administration in doing so, OR, he chickens out again in such a public way that he's still the same useless lame duck.
Obama no longer has any oath to uphold, any office to be 'worthy of'; he's now simply a private citizen whose been accused by the sitting government of a very serious crime. Its time to call the lawyers, and it's time for said government to put up OR shut up and ISSUE A FUCKING PUBLIC APOLOGY to Mr Obama.
