I think most of us especially over 40 care about the market performance. And we ain’t all rich.

And while we all appreciate the increase in value... the rich are particularly happy.

Their increases equate to yachts and Villas.

Under the agreement, the US will levy a 15% baseline tariff for most EU exports to the US, limiting a higher border tax charge on EU goods sold to the US market. However, the tax rate is higher than before Trump came to power, and a 50% tariff remains on steel exports; a set back for that industry.

Pharmaceuticals and semi-conductors are also excluded and could yet face punitive tariffs.

they've forgotten to point out that a 15% tax Americans have to pay on all goods from the EU is a disaster for inflation and our economy.

its funny because we used to have free trade and drumpf like like "one trillion % tariff" and we settle on 15% import tariffs and the media is like "we have a deal! Wow 15 down from one trillion sounds great!!!!!!!!!"

yeah, we have a BAD DEAL. A GOOD DEAL is the USA not having to pay a 15% tax on everything!!!!!!!!!!

We had to pay a VAT import duty which is a percentage tax on goods. Our business had to pay at EU customs for raw materials and I think it’s 20% of declared value.

It has to go through congress to become a law. Otherwise, it's just words on paper.
Thats when we find out what the actual deal is.... but for now, it's all hype.

Trump’s trade deals are illegal, Piper Sandler warns, predicting a Supreme Court smackdown by June 2026. Piper Sandler flatly declares in a new research note. The investment bank analyzed ongoing court battles and legislative authority, and concluded that Trump’s reliance on the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) to impose wide-ranging tariffs and cut bilateral deals far exceeds the powers granted by Congress.

iF the Supreme Court rules against Trump, all trade deals and announced tariff changes made under the IEEPA—including minimum 10% import rates and threatened reciprocal tariffs—would be declared instantly illegal. Refunds could flow to companies and individuals who have paid unlawfully imposed tariffs, if they file claims with the CIT.

The massive, headline-grabbing $550 billion Japanese investment pledge is cited by Piper Sandler as an example of economic promises lacking clarity, specifics, or legal durability.
