He non-stopped lied and went on insane tangents (windmills killing whales and birds/blocking his view on his golf course, ranting about Rwanda, whingeing about no one thanking the US for Gaza aid, said the US was the only nation giving aid to Gaza, and other various madness).

The dementia is off the fucking rails, why hasn't someone pulled the ripcord on the 25th Amendment yet? I bet Dems could bring it to vote... there's more R's now pissed off at him they could peel a few off?

I lasted about 2 minutes, a record for me, and killed the sound and turned on closed caption.

I don't believe for one second he's demented. I believe he knows exactly what he's doing. Telling the big lie has worked for him for over 70 years. Why change now?

We had an administration fighting the pandemic and other diseases, inflation was getting much better, renewable energy was starting to make a difference in global warming. we had a president who had never been indicated let alone convicted of felonies. Among other things.

" maintained by John Roberts "

That connection really needs to be emphasized and kept in the spotlight.

"They come to me": Jane Roberts’ legal recruiting work involved officials whose agencies had cases before the Supreme Court

In newly revealed testimony, Jane Roberts, the wife of Chief Justice John Roberts said she worked for “U.S. attorneys, cabinet officials, former senators” and more.

Politico, 01/31/2023

EXCERPT...

Jane Roberts’ placements included at least one firm with a prominent Supreme Court practice, according to the complaint, which also includes sworn testimony from Roberts herself, in which she notes the powerful officials — whose agencies have had frequent cases before her husband — for whom she has worked.

“A significant portion of my practice on the partner side is with senior government lawyers, ranging from U.S. attorneys, cabinet officials, former senators, chairmen of federal commissions, general counsel of federal commissions, and then senior political appointees within the ranks of various agencies, and I -- they come to me looking to transition to the private sector,” Roberts said, according to a transcript of a 2015 arbitration hearing related to her former colleague’s termination.

In her testimony, Roberts also noted the benefit of working with senior government officials: “Successful people have successful friends.”

She has already had to endure years of being set up as the "fall guy" due to the macho contingent in her party who resented Merkel's successful four terms. She must have been cringing the whole time she was in Comrade Krasnov's presence. Her English is fluent, too, so listening to him blather on must have been doubly painful.

They report "objectively" in the news broadcasts, i.e. they don't trash him like we think he deserves to be. In the documentaries and "in depth" shows, as well as the talk shows, he is savaged unmercifully (and deservedly), as he is in the satire shows.

Sending Vance to cavort openly with the Neo-Nazi AfD of the far right didn't do his image any favors, either.

plus the blanket tariffs that are fupposed to pay for it. So far, there are no riots in the streets.

I have to think he's not going to last much longer, his dementia is growing more obvious with every passing day, especially later in the day when he's fatigued.

They'll want him to go out on a high note and stick the next guy with the consequences of what he's done. If that guy is Vance instead of some hapless Democrat, o bla di.

It makes his stupid base that the other countries are paying the tariffs. The truth is that it's the people here in this country paying them. That needs to be called out. All that money is just going in a Slush Fund.

The victimhood just irritates the heck out of me. I know it's nothing new, but it never fails to aggravate.

I also hate the sound of his voice, but wanted to get a fuller picture of the tone of the conversation and event. It seemed like he was being placated and handled with kid gloves. They were just letting him talk. (So no major explosions)
