Bury us all at Wounded Knee

I'm re-reading "Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee," published in 1970 it is written from the viewpoint of Native Americans and describes the treachery, lies, and massacres visited on Native Americans by White Europeans who were hellbent on "taming the West."

As I read "Wounded Knee" on the one hand while, on the other hand, reading of how Trump is destroying republic, I find no difference between the treatment of the Native Americans then and everyone but the MAGAts today.

Maybe I'm a nut, but that's what I see.

Wounded Knee was just one episode in white people's long fight to diminish and dehumanize our Native Americans, and "establish" white supremacy in America. It must be remembered as a horrible testament to white Europeans' arrogance and capacity for cruelty.
