Florida is at the top of the list. Not surprising, seeing as how it’s become Fascist Central.

This is a double-edged sword. We apparently love the money but despise tourists and the insanely massive traffic and skyrocketing housing costs they bring.

have head their heads in the sand (or up their . . . .) and haven't paid attention to anything outside their front door, and just want to get warm in Florida.

You know the type, if I ignore it I can't be affected by it.

A 10+ % downturn sounds kind of gentle, but it reflects the country wide downturn in economic activity I expect as a result of Trump-O-nomics.

But that they had been going up every year until now.

So they should be fine.

We just got back from Oregon coast, lots of tourists, hotels seemed pretty full. Restaurants busy. I live in Oregon we have a beautiful coast and was so nice to have a week of cool air.

Sadly, this little city was once friendly and easy to get around. Now, the powers-that-be have let the Developers
run build and build and worse, even more build. Since this is a Red town, people are on the lookout
for our hillbilly-heaven-ICE so-called cops.
What's fun to watch and hear is "I can't get anybody to take care of our lawn (S)"
Of course you can't..You're the dumb-asses that put that pig in the President chair.
I'll mow your f*cking lawn for 60 bucks...

It’s become a fucktangle of developer BS and hedge fund nightmares for housing, and every day I see some new concrete high-rise monstrosity choking out the bayfront. DeathSantis has even ruined what used to be one of the best, most unique colleges in the state and established it as a beacon of his brand of fascism.

This town has completely lost its way—along with the rest of the state, I suppose.

because they keep raising prices at our military hotel (Hale Koa). I was so tempted to purchase flights on sale for $300 from the east coast a few weeks ago. However, we already have plans to go to Crete. I miss Hawaii though. I was in Florida for Universal/Seaworld for 3 days. Absolutely hated every minute in the state besides to park. I used to love Florida…

We stayed there a couple of years ago, but spent an inordinate amount of time at the beach bar at the Hilton Hawaiian Village.

plan to ruin America.

I can't imagine those Red districts in the States losing so much money from lack of Tourism being happy with what Traitor is Doing to them.

And, the Billionaires like Bezos & Fuckerberg are sitting back grinning like Cheshiers counting their newly acquired wealth.

1] We managed during Covid.
2] Since the US is such a big country we get major visitors from all over the country.

So I guess we'll be o k.
But I love hearing various accents from our country, and internationally.
