I may have mentioned this in the past, but "A Christmas Story" is based in my hometown city where I grew up, Hammond, IN.
When I first watched this in the mid 80's, when internet wasn't around yet, the mention of the Chicago Bears up there, and down in Griffith (Indiana), I knew it was was close to where I grew up.

Then I found it just how close I was to this storied location.
The author of "A Christmas Story", is Jean Shepherd , who played the narrator & the gentleman who told Ralphie that the line to see Santa started waaaay back there, in the movie.
Jean Shepherd graduated from my high school, Hammond High School.
The school in the movie Warren G. Harding Elementary exists in the Hessville section of Hammond and is at the end of Cleveland St.
My cousins attended Harding Elementary.

So I tell people, that I grew up in "A Christmas Story"

Of course, once Maxwell is pardoned she can say whatever she wants, since AFAIK pardons can't be undone, and she's dumber than I think she is (she may be evil but I don't think she's stupid) if she talks before she has that pardon in hand. But she is not known for her truthfulness in the first place, and whatever she says in exchange for a pardon will be highly suspect, to say the least. Of course perjury charges can also be pardoned, but that would make the whole business even stinkier.

And of course Trump can promise it and then forget all about it later.

I was reading a victim statement the other day that Ivana used to hunt for victims with Maxwell, fully understanding what was happening. They are all sick and pathological. If Maxwell had an ounce of self preservation she would start singing like a canary, and ask to be transferred to a secure facility explicitly outlining the risk to her life.

... SOMEONE is holding all the evidence in a safe, and it will be released if Ghislaine should happen to meet an untimely demise. That's what is keeping her alive now.

I don't have any insider info on this, but I've tried to keep up with the various rumors, stories and court proceedings.

Maxwell's lawyer is very close friends with Todd Blanche.

The one caveat might be a video or pictures of DT and JE raping a minor.

I'm sure Ghislaine understands her dangerous predicament. She was living off-the-books for several years in the private homes of various friends. She does have resources. It might be awful living in a prison but they are keeping her safe for now.

Another suicide would be very suspicious at this point, but I don't know that they care about optics. Maybe he will let her out and then she'll "suicide" or have a fatal accident. Who knows what leverage she has. I bet the thought has crossed his mind to silence her permanently. He also knows that people have been giving the media documents. What would a paranoid, demented idiot do? Stay tuned.

When Epstein was convicted in Florida in 2007 or 2008, Ghislaine and Jeffrey had very little contact after that. For awhile she remained in New York (I believe) but eventually she started moving around staying with friends, and keeping one step ahead of the law. Virginia Giuffre was already bringing lawsuits against both of them, and she got them charged with rape and trafficking crimes. (Giuffre had fled the country and was living in Australia, and that caused delays.)

It almost looked like Maxwell would skip out of everything and leave the country unnoticed. But somehow the law tracked her down. I think it might have been the GPS on her phone that gave her away. (Or maybe somebody dropped a dime on her?) She was hiding at a friend's house in Massachusetts at the time.

My point is that Maxwell was "under cover" for almost 10 years ... leading up to her being arrested and charged with the crimes. It happened during Chump's first term, I'm thinking maybe 2019? I can't remember, but IF Chump had been trying to have her "suicided" ... well, we never would have heard anything, would we? It would have never made the papers.

Her death, even if natural, would have been noted.

On November 25, 2024, Judge Chutkan approved the request and dismissed the charges. In January 2025, the special counsel report was released, in which "the Office assessed that the admissible evidence was sufficient to obtain and sustain a conviction at trial."

She knows Trump is on "the list", so Trump wants to keep her silent by pardoning her. Duh!
