Israel and US leave Gaza ceasefire talks in Qatar

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/crrqrz857wgo

Israeli and US negotiators have decided to leave Gaza ceasefire talks in Qatar's capital Doha, with Washington accusing Hamas of not "acting in good faith". In a statement, US special envoy Steve Witkoff said: "We have decided to bring our team home from Doha for consultations after the latest response from Hamas, which clearly shows a lack of desire to reach a ceasefire in Gaza."

The Israeli government did not say what triggered its withdrawal, but a senior Israeli official was quoted in local media as saying there was "no collapse" in the negotiations. Hamas has not commented on the issue. All sides involved in the talks - including mediators - admit that wide gaps remain on key issues.

In Thursday's statement, Witkoff said that "while the mediators have made a great effort, Hamas does not appear to be co-ordinated or acting in good faith". "We will now consider alternative options to bring the hostages home and try to create a more stable environment for the people of Gaza. "It is a shame that Hamas has acted in this selfish way. We are resolute in seeking an end to this conflict and a permanent peace in Gaza."

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is yet to publicly comment on why the Israeli negotiators were leaving Doha. But the senior Israeli official - speaking on the condition of anonymity - insisted there was "no collapse" in the talks, the Times of Israel reported.

1. So the side that shamelessly announced its plans to "transfer" people from their lands is a "good faith" actor?

Announced it during the ceasefire negotiations to boot...

What is it called when you accuse the other side of exactly what you are doing?

2. Does this mean Jared (R) will have to wait to profit from his beach condos?

He really needs for Gaza to be "cleansed" so he and his billionaire buddies (r) and the Trump Mob (r) can build their "big beautiful beach condos" over the graves of the thousands of children and adults who starved to death.

The more people killed and starved, the faster Palestinians can be convinced that Gaza is a death trap and be "encouraged to leave" via the planned concentration/transit camps.

But do you really think Israel will let Kushner have Gaza, as if that goal was what this "war" was ever about? Lol.

There are settler groups that have already selected their choice plots. Graves of children notwithstanding - and that's likely an added bonus for them. They consider Gaza a place of evil that must be "cleansed" for "holy Jewish families" to settle.

What will Netanyahu choose? Kushner/Trump/Western investors and corporations or the settlers? He will try to placate both. Gaza will be both a Trump Riviera but under Israeli sovereignty (don't forget "from the Jordan to the Mediterranean" from the Likud Charter, not a "genocidal slogan" at all ) and with most of the land for the settlers. A totally unholy place truly built on the graves of children and the memories of their gone and erased people.

4. What's stunning about this hunger crisis in Gaza is that it is not unfolding in some remote part of the world,

allowing leaders to feign ignorance; no, this starvation is in the headlines, on television and much discussed -- yet still the world shrugs and the US is complicit.
