According to nbcnews.com, Chuck Schumer has dubbed the early break called for by Johnson the "Epstein Recess."
Pretty good, Leader Schumer. Other Dems, are you listening? Sounds to me like a pretty good messaging tool. Simplicity and repetition are everything in messaging though. So the rest of you need to get on board.

(8,775 posts)I know Chuck has been disappointing to many of us who are more progressive - and, yes, including me - but he does have accomplishments in his history and throwing him under the bus is IMO not warranted. Credit where credit is due indeed.

(471 posts)Trump and his cronies seem to be planning to make a deal with Epstein's partner to buy her silence. Evidence. We must have more evidence to bury him with!

(9,866 posts)By my calculations, the designated Epstein Recess extending from July 23 through September 1 totals 42 calendar days.
A full Scaramucci is generally considered to be 10 days. Some would say it's 11 days, but we'll go with 10 for this exercise.
Therefore 42/10 = 4.2 Scaramuccis!
Fun fact: One year (365 days) = 8.7 Epstein Recesses
