Who is "playing" whom?

Most believe that Trump has played "MAGA" to keep himself in power. No doubt, Trump believes that.

But, is it possible, that there are leaders (influencers) in the MAGA movement that believe they are playing Trump? Folks like Steve Bannon, that believe they are using Trump to get rid of the "administrative state"? That believe Trump is the politician they can "use" to uncover the "deep state" and destroy the "socialists" that run this government?

Is it possible that each of these players believe they are playing the other?

But, these "influence leaders" haven't really cared about anything Trump has done in the past, so long as he was carrying their water? But now, for some unexplainable reason, they are going against their Leader and savior of their "movement"?

Just a theory, but there may be some in the MAGA movement that recognize that Trump is not going to be on the ballot anymore, although he is trying to persuade them that he will be? They now recognize that they are on their own and Trump can no longer help them? How do they remain united as a movement after the '26 and '28 elections?

That, in my opinion, could be a reason that they are so locked on the Epstein scandal, when nothing else ever mattered to them.

If this is the case, Trump is about to be thrown into the trash heap of history.

If the base becomes disillusioned, they stop engaging. Less clicks, less ads that you get paid from, they don't buy your useless products.
There are a lot of folks who've made their wealth, or got famous telling lies. If people don't believe your lies anymore, that's not good for business.
