Could President Biden Have Released The Epstein Files

Lawrence had the Epstein victims' attorney on tonight, he was forceful, and riveting.

He stated that the Epstein estate has possession of "the Book," and the attorneys who work for the estate would release it.

The book is real, some of the victims were ordered to be a part of creating it.

This segment, done late at night, needs to be repeated over and over again on MSNBC, but I bet that's the last we see it.

If President Biden had the power to release the Epstein files, he made a huge mistake by not doing so. If it was up to Garland, never mind.

I usually don't watch Lawrence but I will start now. Tonight's segment with the victims' lawyer was the best segment I have seen regarding Krasnov/Epstein.

Someone on DU should cut and paste that segment every day.

2. Did anyone ask him or the DoJ to release them?

Ghislaine Maxwell's trial took place during Biden's term. Materials from the Epstein file would have been relevant, and for that reason the prosecution (and probably the defense as well) probably would not have approved its release at that time.

4. The attorney who was on Lawrence

would have certainly wanted the files released with the victims' names redacted. He was extremely critical of so many people forgetting about the victims. He represented 5 victims and 2 of them have committed suicide.

Epstein, Maxwell, and Krasnov are monsters.

I hope that MSNBC gets this attorney on TV again on prime time for a bigger audience.

I only asked the question if President Biden could have released them?

7. Being in the files, is not evidence of a crime. Biden is a good man, he would not have released information like this

just for political gain. Biden wanted to return things to normal. Let the justice department be independent.
It was trump and his minions that continuously campaigned on releasing the files, inciting their base about the Clintons and Democrats being pedophiles.
If Merrick Garland knew that there was evidence of crimes and did nothing - he has a lot of explaining to do. Matter of fact, a lot of people, starting with Bill Barr and everyone that worked on the case have a lot of explaining to do. Prosecutors only bring cases they think they can win. My guess is that whatever is in there, is more of an embarrassment than hard evidence of a crime.

trump wants people to believe that epstein was a mere acquaintance, but they were very good friends. Even if there is no evidence of him abusing minors, whatever is in there is embarrassing for him. Michael Wolff said Epstein showed him pics with topless girls - he does not say the girls were minors. If these girls were 18 yrs old, there is no crime. It would still be an embarrassment.

10. I confess I'm a little apprehensive about releasing full raw files to the general public

For example, investigators' interview notes may contain nothing more than dubious hearsay about people the DOJ did not indict - I'm not convinced it's proper to release stuff like that.

The lawyer represented over 200 victims. Surely he interviewed many/all of them and learned a lot of details.
