Article:
“I won’t pretend to understand why they were as enthusiastic about Trump as they were in the first place. I suppose it’s possible that Trump just seemed normal to a lot of young people because he’d been president before and they had the sense that he did a good job. The “bro” factor played into it too, I think.

But they can all see him in action now and it’s obvious that he’s a miserable failure and an addled criminal.

*I should add that many Gen Xers have some splainin’ to do too. They should have known better.”

14. Actually, Trump improved slightly more with young women than with young men, in 2024

Democratic vote with 18-29 women: 2016 63%, 2020 67%, 2024 61%
(so 6% down from 2020 to 2024, and 2% down from 2016 to 2024)

Democratic vote with 18-29 men: 2016 47%, 2020 52%, 2024 48%)
(so 4% down from 2020 to 2024, and 1% up from 2016 to 2024)

Looked them up so many times but it won't stick in my head.

Doesn't matter much to me old or young. Anyone who voted for this and now regrets can cuss word, cuss word, cuss word until someone invents some stronger cuss words. Every single one of them can go cuss word.

… appealed to them.
I live in a college town FWIW.

I was at a small July 4 protest at the edge of campus and a carload of young men took great delight in roaring past us yelling TSF’s name 🙄

The only ones with half an excuse are those with both severe dyslexia and total deafness.
