He had Parkinson's, so people didn't expect a dynamic show from him, but he was OK to sing sitting down. I guess performing one last time could have been his final goal.

Connected to him. Via my brother. I grew up with Theo.

And my dad wasn't the Black Sabbath demographic - but LOVED him from his reality show. Come to think of it - he wasn't a reality show guy - but one episode of him lamenting the fact that someone ate his burrito and he was hooked. Used to shake his head at his crazy town household and say "Story of my life". Then laugh - because some white man from England on the other side of the country was in the same hell he was in.

but she gave him one hell of a sendoff and outpouring of love and admiration by the metal community, gave the fans a timeless show that will continue to reverberate and pushed millions to worthwhile charities in the process.

We should all be so lucky to have such a goodbye.

I am not much for his music but respect a guy that does his thing to the last breath. Big respect.

Said he didn't want a factory job and a friend suggested he join a band...

The rest is history.

Got a record deal right away and worked for 50+ more years.
