Leon Black Agreed to Pay $62.5 Million to Settle Epstein-Related Claims
The private equity mogul struck a deal with the U.S. Virgin Islands to avoid a potential lawsuit over his ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

The billionaire investor Leon Black agreed to pay $62.5 million to the U.S. Virgin Islands in January to be released from any potential claims arising out of the territory’s three-year investigation into the sex trafficking operation of the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, according to a copy of the settlement agreement.

SNIP----
The settlement shows the extent to which Mr. Black, once a titan of the private equity industry, has gone to limit scrutiny of his decades-long social and business ties to Mr. Epstein. Those dealings, including the revelation that he paid $158 million to Mr. Epstein for tax and estate planning services, had become a source of embarrassment for Mr. Black in the years after Mr. Epstein’s death.

I'm not as "skeptical" as Senator Wyden -- I think that the payment of $170 Million dollars is criminal money laundering! If this was all on the "up and up" then why did Leon Black pay $62.5 million dollars to "settle" the investigation by the Virgin Islands assuming that he, Black, is completely "innocent" of any and all criminal wrongdoing -- like "money laundering?"

5. I've long suspected that the "Epstein conspiracy" involves a whole lot more than sex crimes against children

Epstein had his hands in so many places, the financial world, politics, entertainment, tech, foreign affairs and even philanthropy. Which is how Bill Gates gets ensnared. Epstein tried to blackmail Gates about his affair.

6. Epstein didn't get filthy rich by pimping underage children.

Epstein got filthy rich by laundering monies for rich Republicans and Wall Street financiers. It's the criminal money laundering which needs to be investigated and a Grand Jury should impaneled to indict these criminals.

for the Turd, the Russian Mafia and rich Republicans -- which makes all of them criminally guilty for for their criminal conspiracy in these money laundering activities since they were willing participants who aided and abetted and profited from these criminal money laundering activities.

8. I agree. I think there are a lot of people that don't want the " files" released because of financial crimes.
