How's everyone doing this morning? Some days are a struggle.

I'm feeling sappy today.

It feels like Trump has been back in office for ten years already, and it's barely been sick months. So much bad in the world. So much absurdity. So much hate. As a Texan, the recent floods nearly took me down. The tears have not yet stopped.

Just wanted to send out some love to my fellow DU'ers. We have to take care of one another. We have to keep standing up and on the days when it's really, really, hard - we have to simply tell ourselves that one foot in front of the other is good enough for that day, and that we will do better tomorrow.

The antidote for this hate is love. Just like the Beatles said many years ago. All you need it love. Easier said than done, right? I find it SO hard to give love to those that I despise, but I try to always remember to say it to those that I cherish and admire.

So, to all my DU'ers, I am not embarrassed to say full on that I love you!

I am glad to have this place to come to on those days when it's bad. Glad to have the discussions. Glad to have the arguments and the exchanging of ideas. Glad to see some humanity and some wisdom and some compassion. It reminds me that I'm not alone.

In a world gone mad, we have to hang on to one another.

I don’t know how we’re going to survive this madness and idiocy if we don’t lean on each other. Great post.

if it feels like Trump has been in power for ten years, it's because he kind of has been. The trip down the escalator was ten years ago. We were lucky to have him away from the control panel for four very short years. But he spent the whole time bellowing and bloviating, and sucking all the oxygen out of the room that we couldn't get rid of him, no matter how we tried. And of course, every time he opened his mouth while Joe Biden was President, his semi-evolved worshippers would increase their screeching and their shit-flinging.

It's been impossible to escape him, even from as early as 2012, when he was started blithering about Barack Obama and the birth certificate. The sooner he dies, the better. I wish it were tomorrow, even if it means he never spends a day in jail. I just want him gone.

That explains a lot. Like you, I want him GONE. Without the possibility of EVER returning. Then I want his followers to become the laughing stocks of anyone and everyone else.
