The Justice Department has fired the wife of the man who developed a controversial anti-ICE warning system after far-right influencer Laura Loomer went after her on X.
Carolyn Feinstein, who is married to ICEBlock developer Joshua Aaron and has served as a forensic accountant at the DOJs Office of the U.S. Trustee for almost a decade, received an email from the department on Friday informing her that her position would be terminated.
This was retribution. I was fired because of the actions, or activism, of my husband, Feinstein told the Daily Beast Monday. It is insulting to me because I dedicated myself and my career to serving the people of the United States, and now the DOJ is claiming I was attempting to harm some of them. And thats not true.
Feinstein, who specializes in bankruptcy fraud, says she was targeted because of her husbands work. Aaron found himself on the receiving end of MAGAs fury after giving an interview to CNN late last month in which he explained how his app works and why he had developed it.

(3,259 posts)My nephew graduated high school and I was concerned for families. I wasnt attached to LA Unified, but my brother was. He could have let people know. As it turned out, all was well. The Superintendent of LA Unified spoke at the graduation and school district cops were posted everywhere.
My brother and others in the neighborhood were using another app, but Id read ICEBlocker was better. And it is. Everyone in their household is using it now.

Part of the plan, I suspect. Whether drowned in a bathtub or starved into submission, the Right's wet dream of a dead government body is coming to fruition.

Maybe they can use the settlement money to try and do an Android version.

They may try to go after him directly via a spurious obstruction of justice charge.

(3,004 posts)Was giving an interview on CNN the best idea given his wife's position and the pettiness of this corrupt regime? Perhaps they discussed the risks beforehand. (?)
