Apropos of nothing earthshakingly serious --

But some days DU's video column looks like the tabloid rack at the store.
GIANT FONTS!!!
ALL CAPS!!!
CIRCLES!!!
ARROWS, LOTS OF ARROWS!!!
FREAKISH FACIAL CLOSEUPS!!!
EXCLAMATION POINTS ON STEROIDS!!!

Sometimes a person just wants to read an article or two on DU.
Or maybe it's just me.

Rant off.

Hitting the 'trash forum' button for "Liberal YouTubers" appears to help a lot ...

But yeah, I've trained my fingers and remaining neuron to ignore posts that shout at me for attention.

I don’t post videos, but if I did.

(Insert Most Interesting Man meme)

I’d tone down the title.

Especially those with an overly dramatic, teasing headline.

But it seems that our beloved forums have fallen captive to the overuse of superlatives syndrome that has made much serious discussion not useful in passing review or judgement.

You and I are getting old, but we've spent the past 20 years watching the formation of this coming generation of seniors on the internet although they are only about 40 - 50 years old right now. Is this Gen Z? I've lost interest in their super-specific names they have for themselves.

When we've used up all of the superlatives, the copious descriptors, the hyperbolic, enthusiastic language - WHAT FUCKING REMAINS?

Ai content. Thats what. But we'll be dead before that happens.
