At this point the contents of said "file" are of less importance than the public conversation.

Pedophilia is a heinous crime. Perps need to be called out, and brought to justice.

So the conversation is a useful moral corrective, especially for the republicons who have sacrificed their honor around this evil (obviously) shit.

We might never know everything that's in them, but the real bone of contention is the fact that Trump repeatedly promised to release them and then all of a sudden AG Barbie, who does exactly what Trump tells her, announces that there's no "client list" and nothing to release, and that Epstein committed suicide. MAGA's favorite conspiracy theory just went up in smoke, and they have a big mad. Of course, anybody who denies the existence of a conspiracy automatically becomes part of it, so now Bondi Barbie and Trump are among the co-conspirators. This thing has more legs than a centipede.

Maybe they are trying to distract us from learning about the felon's crimes by focusing our attention on documentation of those crimes? Or if not that, maybe distracting the maga cult by focusing attention on the Epstein files because they document the lies that the felon campaigned on? I mean, even the felon has said focus on the Epstein files is a waste of time. They don't even exist. Maybe we should trust the felon's lies about his lies? Maybe we should seek the safety found in burying our heads in the sand, rather than being distracted by reality.

I think because the felon & fiends had campaigned on his being the only person who could defeat the secret society raping and killing children. The cult believed that. Supporting him was a big part of their identity. Now that he is president again, he could release them. The felon's claim that there are no files makes for the first time that many maga cult members do not believe him.

Steve Bannon and Tucker Carlson are both saying the felon is now part of the "deep state." Keep in mind that both view the felon as entering the lame duck phase of his second term. (I think that happens after the mid-terms, but they both see cracks.) Keep in mind that both think they should be president.

It would have lessened the presidency for him to order the DOJ to release files with names of people not being charged. Double so if it is about a political opponent. I saddened to see Democrats who have zero grasp that post-Watergate, everyone agreed that the DOJ should be kept away from a president's agenda. One of the responsibilities of citizenship is being educated to the point where simple questions are already answered.

All those documents and files were procured during the con artist's first term. That's when Epstein was charged, incarcerated and died.

So trying to push this as "why didn't Biden release it" is a distraction from the con artist. Releasing them was the con's promise.

I have no doubt there are many prominent men implicated in this, world wide. I would like to hope that some of it, the money laundering, is still under investigation. And there are men who know which men sexually assaulted and sexually abused 13 and 14 year old girls. The con artist is the one running scared now. Not Joe Biden.

Joe had his hands full with Covid, the economy, re-establishing our international relationships, Ukraine, and the DOJ was trying to track, arrest and prosecute the J6 insurrectionists - who Trump pardoned in many cases.

Releasing the Epstein files was a RW issue before the election as they continued to suggest Dems are pedophiles (remember Pizzagate?).

This is their issue. Let them drown in it.
