Trying to make my friend understand who keeps saying orange jumpsuit awaits the piece of shit

As I am sure everyone here understands, it’s too late to stop this even if the piece of shits approval rating goes to zero including with Maga.

They are going to destroy our federal government, they are going to arrest people who oppose them like President Obama and Hillary Clinton and you and me. They are going to take Medicare and Social Security and everything else, everything.

It’s too late, we had a chance in 2016 to support our candidate but too many folks had an attitude, then again in 2024 but ridiculous people thought because of Gaza they couldn’t vote for Kamala.

We will protest because it’s the right thing to do, and we will try and vote but we probably won’t be allowed to.

Oh and the 2024 election was rigged.

2. In regardless of the piece of shit approval rating

The project 2025 masterminds who now run the government will completely and totally destroy our country and our relationship with the rest of the world.
Below seen on blue sky

Word From the Architect:
Russell Vought, now serving as Director of the Office of Management and Budget under Trump, promotes a “biblical worldview” for American governance. As lead architect of Project 2025, he’s reshaping federal agencies into instruments of Christian nationalism.

3. Think there is some hope if his approval rating falls far enough and GOPers fear losses in midterms.

4. That scenario leads to Vance

He’s a tool and not any kind of savior. All Republicans are invested in the destruction of the US. They won’t change no matter who the figurehead is.

9. Vance will never equal Trump's appeal to the jabbering apes of Red State America.

By almost every measure, Trump is more loathsome, repulsive, odious, ridiculous, idiotic, petty, vindictive, and small-minded than even J.D. Vance. But for many puzzling reasons, including the one in the previous sentence, Vance will never have the power that Trump does over the thundering herd of shit-gibbons that have sunk the USA.

13. Because JD Vance was never part of the glitterati.

For all of his faults and Mob Boss personality, *rump's actual "work" was to play a celebrity rich guy who wasn't afraid to get dirty and "tell it like it is" for the rubes.
His name was out there, he was on TV, people knew the part he played. And that he seemed to be rich.
Vance has a rather short political life, doesn't have a good "leader" TV presence - moon-faced, rather greasy looking, speaking without much personal confidence in a nasal tone; he looks and acts like a low-level supervisor or sales manager.
And he's best known to the public for a rather whiney, "look at me working hard to succeed" book about the failures of the poor white trash he had to shit on to become rich.
A mediocre but clever White Man who fell into the right network of other mediocre but clever and Rich White Men to into a position of money and power. And he can't seem to shake that image.

Vance's base is the country club set, chasing access to power and monetary advantages. Trump's base is the "I wanna be special and know famous people" set, chasing after for the ego-boos of being part of the 'winning' team.
Which set of followers is larger and more likely to stick with their proxy leader when things aren't going well?

15. Vance won't bother trying

By the time he ascends to the throne the fascist cabal won’t care a bit about MAGA or you or me or anyone. They’ll have all the power necessary to keep us in our place.

5. They may yet throw Donnie to the lions, but I agree, it's much too late.

They don't need him anymore. The media is now squarely right wing. Sure, they report stories they don't like, but then they quickly move on. Like, sure he was convicted on 34 counts but that's old news, why dwell on that when there's a fresh hoax involving bill clinton and hunter biden!

If he goes, they will hail president vance or holy mike as a return to normalcy and the fascism will continue, just with less daily drama.

No one in that entire crowd believes in democracy or free and fair elections, they all believe in doing whatever it takes to "win".

6. Project 2025 architect runs Office of Management and Budget

If approval rating goes to zero tomorrow for the piece of shit they still destroy the entire government.

Why does anybody think they won’t just take our Social Security money and Medicare money and say that it disappeared because of something Biden did, of course they’re gonna do that.

If I had a dollar for every time some of us said was going to happen that did that we were yelled at for saying, we’d be rich. I’m talking about being yelled at by folks around these here parts. 😡

8. Exactly. People don't see the mechanisms behind things
Sat Jul 19, 2025, 12:31 PM

The right wing has the machinery everywhere. A organized billionaires donor corruption and kickback network. A compliant media. Effective enforcement by threat of primary. Effective enforcement by threat of scandal. Effective enforcement by threat of violence. Stochastic terror and war-live police tactics to silence opposition. Control of all three branches. Emerging control of the bureaucracy, control on enough states to extend fascism through state law and to preserve federal control.

We have *nothing* remotely close to this on our side. A lot of increasingly angry, frustrated, and motivated people, sure, but no infrastructure to effect change.

They've been planning and funding this for half a century at least. We have a lot of catching up to do.

Doesn’t mean we won’t try, doesn’t mean I won’t try, but I am so angry at the nose holders from 2016 especially since I haven’t seen a single one anywhere ever say they made a mistake. I also wonder why there’s nobody else from that timeframe saying that they probably should’ve done things differently

11. Relax. Everything is going according to plan.

Shitheads have always run corporate America. They've captured the government for the time being, but the diversity and size of America means they can't hold and consolidate power forever. Passive resistance will be formidable as people opt-out and slow walk their roles and focus on their own decision-making.

If we're going to have a cleansing there must be a trough, and you can't pour out dirt forever as there's only so much of it even if it seems infinite.

There will be a rebound. Resistance will build.

they cheated and lost the election, I don't think he could be unseated, or that much would change. They'd just laugh and draft some more executive orders.
