late 70's. He talked about these beings that he could see. And he got mad at them and went after them with a baseball bat.

But he wasn't lying. Those beings were real to him.
But I don't ever remember him lying about anything. If anything, he gave out a lot more information than I wanted to hear.

My mother had Alzheimers.
What happens is that they are not in touch with reality.
She was the daughter of Russian immigrants.
She was living in a memory care unity where most of the other patients were Italian
One day when I came to visit, she greeted me as her "paisan ."
The term she always used before wan "lantzman."
I laughed and asked her what the old country was and she replied "Italy of course?"

Another time she asked me if I ever met myself (real name.)
I said "No, tell me about her."

Not trying to diagnose here, but heart failure can cause mental-health symptoms similar to dementia. I've been a caregiver for several patients in final stages of heart failure, and it can really take a toll, when the brain doesn't get enough blood.

His swollen ankles and rapid mental decline could be consistent with end-stage heart failure.

I have to stress that I'm an experienced caregiver, not a doctor, but I've seen enough heart failure patients in hospice to think that Trump might not be long for this world.

Sadly, he'll have the best health care, while stealing it from other Americans.
