Ummm….Have you seen this?

Behind the stage when Trump is shot.

Two aids physically steer the photographers into position for the best angle. What?!

Secret Service audibly called "clear," which happened after the shooter was killed. In this new video it looks to me as if the photographers were allowed into the space after that happened. And of course they were going to want access to that space -- they're news photographers. It's not every day you get to photograph an assassination attempt on the president.

It looked like even though they had called "clear" the guy behind the photographers was trying to shield them while they got their shots.

And let's be honest, if they hadn't been allowed to take those pictures, the conspiracy theory would be, "This is a presidential campaign event, how come nobody got any pictures, hmm? Why were photographers prevented from taking pictures?"

AI:

In 2025, Doug Mills won the Pulitzer Prize for Breaking News Photography for his dramatic images of the assassination attempt on then-candidate Donald Trump, including a photo of the bullet in mid-air.

Doug Mills lives in Arlington, close to the Safeway I used to shop at. He works for the New York Times.

Of course, he’s in on it too.

If this was a plot, here's how it was carried out: A man climbed onto a roof and fired live ammunition at the president. He missed on purpose, was shot dead, and then Trump deliberately injured himself, or used a blood capsule, to make it look like he was bleeding.

In order to believe that the above was meticulously planned, you have to believe that the shooter was suicidal (because he would know that he would most certainly be immediately shot dead following the attempt). Which means you also have to believe that Donald Trump has the courage to stand in the line of fire of a suicidal man who is firing live ammunition at him.

In other words, anyone who says this was faked is giving Trump MORE credit than he deserves. To believe this theory, you'd be saying that Trump has the guts to stand in front of a suicidal shooter using live ammunition, not flinch, and then carry out a fine piece of acting work to pretend he's been shot, with dozens of cameras pointing at him.

Whereas the reality is, that in the moments after the shooting Trump appeared completely disoriented and confused while the Secret Service struggled to cover him up, then he fell out of his shoes.

It's probably even less likely that you get to photograph an assassination attempt on a former president who is also running for president.

is fascinating." (Bluesky comment)

It is fascinating. Reagan was immediately shielded by his SS detail, grabbed up and thrown into the back of his limo. In sharp contrast, Trump was allowed to stand back up, with his head above all the SS agents surrounding him, so he could perform for the crowd.

If you'd just been shot/shot at, would you be in a hurry to get right back up and make yourself a target again? I sure as hell wouldn't.

Arlington photographer wins third Pulitzer for photos of attempted Trump assassination

Doug Mills (photo by Anna Moneymaker, courtesy of Doug Mills)

An Arlington-based photographer has won a Pulitzer Prize for his photos of last summer’s assassination attempt on President Donald Trump.

Doug Mills, a lifelong Arlington resident who discovered his love of photography at the Arlington Career Center, took home the honor this month for photos including a “one-in-a-million” shot of a bullet in midair — an instant before it hits Trump’s ear.

“I still can’t believe it, even when I look at the picture, how remarkable that image is, because it obviously proves that he was shot at,” Mills told ARLnow, referring to the photo in which the bullet appears as a gray line.

This is Mills’ third Pulitzer, following prizes for team coverage of the Clinton/Gore campaign and the Monica Lewinsky scandal.

The major take-away for me, though, is how trump turned the event into a publicity bonanza to energize his base in November.

They moved into place after he was shot? As a former photographer, let me just say, this would be standard practice. The reason they were "moved into place" is that they needed clearance to be in that immediate space before the podium. But that would just be to be in as close proximity as possible to anything that might happen as they moved 45/47.

If they'd moved the photographers into place before the shooting, that would be another story entirely.

It is impossible to believe that some clown could have been allowed to climb on that building as close to the stage as he was. He was clearly an inept amateur. He was out at about 150 yards. He was using a AR 15 variant with an unmagnified red dot sight. While I admit that a decent shooter could have made the shot, that weapon would hardly be the choice of a qualified shooter intent on a kill. In the hands of an amateur the chances of a hit were small. After the first shot, the chances of a hit were very near zero.

The secret service had to have been in on it. If it was real they would have never allowed tRump to stand back up after the first shots. They could not have known (if this was real) that there were not multiple shooters. They would have kept him down until they were sure there was no further threat.

The real tragedy is that a fireman/ family man had to die for the charade.

Did the shooter know that he was a lamb going to slaughter? Did he do it knowing he was going to die in order to elect his orange painted god?
