Since criminals don't want to be found, it's too much work for these proud boys...er...ICE. So of course they get the people who follow the laws, work, pay taxes, show up for court hearings, check in with ICE, do everything they are supposed to, etc.

Nothing about immigration at all. If they wanted to end illegal immigration, they'd go after the employers till the jobs dried up, and then no one would come looking for opportunity. The immigration could stop tomorrow if they wanted it to.

But that's not what they want. They want a hunting party. They're sick.

Simple logic is beyond the capacity of the MAGA / Conservative base.

If, as border Czar Tom Holman says, “Look, people need to understand, ICE officers and Border Patrol don’t need probable cause to walk up to somebody, detain them, and question them. They just need totality of the circumstances, right? They just go through the observation, get our typical facts — based on the location, the occupation, their physical appearance, their actions,” then it was never about deporting criminals. It's ethnic cleansing. And if this is the loose rationale for detaining people, none of us is safe.
